People often ask me, "Why did you decide to teach"... I believe that I didn't choose it, it chose me.

I have been married to my husband since 2005. We have 2 dogs: Coda the lab and Mariachi the chihuahua. We love to be outdoors in the north Georgia mountains or at the beach. I am originally from the Chicagoland area but was born a Hoosier. My favorite holiday is the 4th of July because it's all about going back home, catching up with old friends and family members and who could forget about the FIREWORKS! Nothing like Chicago Symphony Orchestra playing the 1812 Overture in Grant Park Live for the finale on July 3rd! I also love watching So You Think You Can Dance, Law and Order, Rizolli & Isles and Franklin & Bash. My new favorite is of COURSE Big Bang Theory and Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole.

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth." ~Dan Rather
